Wound Laceration with Severed Tendon
“the thought of ever getting her to the show ring was long gone”
We went back into Paint horses in 2002 after a long break of 15 years. Our first foal we bred was Rose in October 2004. Rose is a brown overo filly, by a paint stallion out of a thoroughbred mare called Mapley. Mapley had injured her hind fetlock early in her pregnancy. After months of conventional treatment we turned to Robyn Goozee's homoeopathic treatment. Within 1 week we could see an improvement. Mapley went on to heal marvellously well and carried Rose to full term.
When Rose was 10 months old, she cut both her back legs, severing the tendon and damaging the other tendon in one leg. Here was our halter prospect all cut up and the thought of ever getting her to the show ring was long gone. We then remembered how Mapley's leg had healed with little scaring, so we got in touch with Robyn again. Rose started her treatment 1 week after the injury occurred. The results are again fabulous, the tendons have rejoined and the cuts have healed. We are hoping to be showing Rose under halter this year and then getting her broken in at the end of this year.
